Health awareness became noticable to me when I was four years old. My mother wrapped from the neck down in plastic wrap would work out with Jack La Lane on television every morning. Wheat germ floated in all my beverages, salads and two vegetables, (crunchy,) were served with every meal. Half cantaloupes filled with assorted fruits were a regular breakfast along with high protein shakes and lecithine capsules. My mom was a big fan of Adelle Davis, she followed her, (but not to extreme,) for many years and as a result she, my brother and myself were in great health. It wasn't until small packaged chips came along in the mid 1970's that I noticed we weren't eating as healthy. I followed the flow of the American diet, soda's, chips, candy, foods that were served to me at special occasions as a child became more mainstream in my diet while I went through my teen years. Veggies and salads always stayed because they were normal to my eating habits. Soda's later left and so did all the foods that were not a part of my beginnings because I found they left me feeling dissatisfied, even unwell.

In my twenties I read Daniel Reids book THE TAO OF HEALTH, SEX AND LONGEVITY. It completely changed my life and changed who I would become in the future. He outlines many Chinese health principles that I have followed since that time such as trophology, the art of food combining, Chi Gung, and many more. His work, along with the writings of Paul Bragg, Bernard Jensen and V.E. Irons, inspired me to change my diet and periodically detoxify my body through cleansing and short fasts. The body is perfect if you believe it is, however one must first adapt oneself to being able to hear and consequently, listen. The subtle voice of food cravings can give you indications as to whether or not you are going in the right direction. The loud call for awareness lies in gas, acid indigestion, bloating, etc. must be looked into. Try for your body's sake to become aware of subtle changes that the foods you eat create in you. My dedication to my work has left me feeling wonder-full. Everyone who walks through the door is an amazing gift and someone to share the concepts of logevity with.
